Sep 3, 2010 - I dont know why all you guys are compaering bruce lee and david carradine.it is not relevent here. why cant you talk about this great great epic tv serious. of course if you are not Buddhist you may not be able to understand the real essense of this show. been a buddhist i can say i am amazed how david carradine interpret some highly idealistic buddhist philosophies very iffectively. but all credit must go to the director of this wonderful wonderful tv series.

Sep 3, 2010 - @CelticCaine much respect to caradine, but Lee wasn't right for the part? HE INVENTED THE PART AND THE WHOLE SHOW!!!! I never liked this show. i always wondered why it was a boring white guy. My dad used to love this and made me watch it. i always fell asleep cuz it was almost as boring as star trek next generation. if it was lee it would have kicked major ass! racist media sucks

Aug 29, 2010 - @CelticCaine Shows how good an actor Dave was. You don´t need a Kung Fu expert (Bruce Lee) to play a Kung Fu master. Same as you don´t need the real superman to play superman...just a good actor.

WarriorBoy Says:

Aug 20, 2010 - @CelticCaine: Amazing. The amount you are wrong is in direct proportion to the amount that you are disrespectful. David Carradine won this role due to discrimination and racism. This show was Bruce Lee's creation, and Carradine wouldn't have had a part to play if Bruce Lee had not created it. Bruce Lee would've been able to play the character he created.

Khalsa1234 Says:

Aug 18, 2010 - This should of always have been played by Bruce Lee

bartonim Says:

Aug 12, 2010 - Much as I loved this series in the day, it sort of makes me wince to see how every single part of Caine's life was portrayed by obviously non-Asians. Carradine was good, though, I'll admit. Here ins one example of an update I would like to see, so long as Asians were cast for every level of his life, AND the name should seem at least a bit more Chinese!

hypnyxx Says:

Aug 9, 2010 - For those saying Bruce Lee was too intense for this role are ignorant of the man. He was an actor and I'm quite sure he could come off as calm. The facts are that Hollywood of the 1960s and 1970s were not comfortable giving a starring role to an Asian man so they settled on David Carradine. This role was written for Bruce Lee but Holly wood was scared to go with him.

Thetruthishere11 Says:

Aug 3, 2010 - @CelticCaine "David Carradine was the only person that was right for this part. Bruce Lee couldn't have done the part justice." bullshit.

Thetruthishere11 Says:

Aug 3, 2010 - @patsaxon bullshit "Who cares if Bruce Lee was not ask to play this part, a white man as David Caradine made the story more interesting."

grumpypant Says:

Jul 17, 2010 - Who would think that the Caine of "KUNG FU" will end up dead as being a sexually perverted lonely man in a Bangkock hotel! All that ancient oriental wisdom taught to him in the Shaolin Temple really went to wasted, didn't it?!!!

ToiletBomberAlpha Says:

Jul 14, 2010 - @dimpledick3inch Who the hell said that was the firs ttime he ever did that...?

Jul 14, 2010 - @blorgensteen A-fuckin'-men. Sorry, I really get tired of PC'ing when in regards to the 70s...

NWOConspiracyGroup Says:

Jul 13, 2010 - @CelticCaine - it could have worked but he was never given the chance. His ideas were stolen and people got rich

blorgensteen Says:

Jul 13, 2010 - @errerer94 How nice of you to look back from your politically correct high horse into a time and place you were never a part of. An actor was offered a role, then the role was given to someone else. Happens all the time, even today. You want to blame anyone, blame Lee's agent.

errerer94 Says:

Jul 13, 2010 - @blorgensteen So? They canceled Bruce Lee for some fake

blorgensteen Says:

Jul 11, 2010 - You weren't even alive then, so who's the chump: you or the millions of people who were introduced to the martials through this show? I dare say that you are.

blorgensteen Says:

Jul 11, 2010 - @Ibringthetruth1 You're bitching about something that happened 40 years ago, probably before you were even a gleam in your dad's eye. Enjoy it for what it was, good television.
